Tools to Promote Self-Sufficiency: The Pennsylvania Family Economic Self-Sufficiency Project (PA FESS)
This innovative program has stimulated an ongoing collaboration among individuals and organizations from the public, nonprofit, business, education, and job-training sectors to discern what is really needed to establish economic self-sufficiency in low-income families. The PA FESS provides advocacy for TANF recipients and movement toward long-term family economic well-being. The PA FESS materials are designed to provide answers to low wage earners as well as public officials, caseworkers,social workers and other educators who need easy-to-use tools to help families make the choices they need to move toward economic independence.Materials available through the PA FESS include:
